Updating your BIOS
OK, updating your BIOS is really a no-brainer, it may sound scary or complicated but the process is automated. Here's what you do:
1. Go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer. The BIOS update MUST come from the same company that makes your motherboard, because every BIOS is motherboard-specific.
2. See if the company has a BIOS update available for your exact model of motherboard. It must be your exact model, not a different model from the same company.
3. If they have a BIOS update available, it will be in the form of a program. Download this program, and be sure to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS for it! After you run the program, your BIOS will be updated. If they do not have an update available, you can't update your BIOS.
